ECOERA Capital has invested in the plantation of 6 different species of tree plants within an area of 1.1 hectares. The aim of the plant is to establish the best methods for large scale biomass plantations and also the different by-products for the particular climate of South-Eastern Mediterranean. The pilot plant is under the supervision of the Greek Nation Forest Research Institute.
Ecoera Capital has fulfilled in record time yet another investment project in Greece. ENGAIA SA, member of ECOERA GROUP, successfully completed the engineering and construction of 1 MW PV park in Northern Greece for EC’s client account within 40 days. EC performed due diligence and investment management while ECOERA BULGARIA OOD, member of the ECOERA GROUP, was involved in the procurement of the equipment installed.
Licensing procedures are approaching completion for the submitted plans to construct 4 MW of biomass infrastructures. ENGAIA SA, member of the ECOERA GROUP, signed an initial agreement for the construction of a prototype biomass unit with modular capabilities in compliance with EU regulation. It is expected that more than 28 GWh of clean energy per annum will be produced using syngas deriving from renewable sources. PPAs are expected to be signed within 2013 and commercial operation to commence by early 2014.
ECOERA Capital has successfully undertaken an investment portfolio of over €7M in renewables in Greece, despite the current economic turmoil.
